A jagged, curving ridgeline marks the highest point on a volcano that was once much taller. Broken Top did not get its distinct look from a St. Helens-style eruption but rather by the work of glaciers for over 100,000 years. Part of the Three Sisters Wilderness, Broken Top still holds two glaciers, each sitting below walls layered with a colorful volcanic history.

This detailed topographic map showcases the geography of Broken Top and its surrounding landscape. Shaded relief and 100-foot contour lines. Glaciers are labeled, along with major lakes, streams, peaks, lava flows, and other notable geographic features. Trails and roads are shown, but National Forest and Wilderness boundaries are intentionally excluded in an effort to display only the landscape that is visible on the ground.

This map should not be used for navigation. Hang it up, remember prior adventures, plan new ones, but go get a real trail map before you head for the mountains.

This map is printed on paper with a satin finish, giving it a slight gloss and gently pebbled texture that looks great hung on its own or framed.
