Before the centennial year of the National Park Service ended on December 31, I wrote one last post in my Find Your Park series. The first ten had focused on individual parks, the eleventh had looked back at the parks I visited over the course of 2106, but this final installment looked ahead. By no means comprehensive or in depth, it is a few thoughts on the future of the parks (of course, accompanied by photos). The first 100 years were grand, even if I was only around for a quarter of them, but the most important thing now is the second hundred. Click here to read along and wonder with me about what the future holds for our national parks.
